  • Percentage field for Project Contract Line Milestones to calculate the price

    For Project Contract Line Milestones you need to manually calculate the price for the milestones. In most common cases the milestones are like:

    1. 20% of the Total amount before start of the project
    2. 50% of the Total amount at the beginning of the project
    3. 30% of the Total amount at the end of the project


    It would be an added functionality if you can add a Project Contract Line Milestone and add the Percentage in a field and let Dynamics365 calculate the price and fill in the price.

  • Simplify the user experience for Project and Quote Line

    Now, the steps to setup a Project the correct way is:

    1. Create Opportunity & Lines
    2. Create Quote & Lines or convert Opportunity to Quote & Lines
    3. Create a Project or copy a Project
    4. Go back to the Quote line
    5. Connect the project
    6. Import the Quote Line Details from the Project to the Quote Line


    For an end user with many customers and small projects, these are many steps.


    A more user-friendly way would be to have the possibility to either create an opportunity and/or quote from the Project card or to connect the Project directly to a Quote Line/Project Contract line, filtering on Customer of the project.
