  • Ability to load bank statements in batch

Give users the ability to set up a batch job to automatically import bank statements from a designated file server at times to be defined by the user.  This functionality existed in AX 2012 but does not exist in 365.  Some 365 users have 250+ bank accounts that need to be tracked & reconciled.  It is reasonable for a user to want batch mode so they don't have to load lots of bank statements every day.

  • Transaction or Report to show Unposted Transactions

365 has implemented a new restriction that blocks the removal of a general ledger account structure from a ledger if there are unposted transactions that reference the structure.  Since there will almost always be an unposted transaction somewhere in a 365 ledger, Microsoft needs to provide a way to either (A) identify the unposted transactions so users can find them and delete them, or (B) figure out a way to quarantine unposted transactions so they are neutralized.  Then an account structure can be detached from a ledger.

  • Legal entity as just another dimension

Many 365 users have more than one legal entity.  Change 365's user interface so legal entity code is just another dimension on the form instead of imbedding the legal entity code in the window pane whereby transactions and forms and reports generated are tied to that legal entity code as AX/365 has historically done.  This would enable users to much more quickly support multiple legal entities at one time.

  • Create general journal & vendor invoice from Excel add-in

Please add the ability to start or create a general journal entry from inside the Excel add-in.  Currently users are required to create a journal batch in 365 so the system will assign a batch number, then you launch Excel.  The batch number is passed in to Excel.  Why can't we skip that step and have Excel generate the batch number?  The same concept applies to vendor invoices and other transactions that can be performed in Excel.

My clients are asking for this.
