If at the beginning of the year someone enrolled in an annual plan has an FTE of 1.0, they get the full allowance for the year. If half way through the year their FTE changes to 0.5, their allowance should be reduced to 75% of the full allowance. This doesn't happen even if accrual is deleted and regenerated.

For companies with short accrual periods the difference this inaccuracy amounts to but in companies with Annual accrual periods, which is most of them in the UK, this discrepancy is massive.

Now workers need to check the team absence calendar before the proceed with their leave request.

It would be beneficial to have an overview of the team members that have leave planned in the period the worker is planning to request leave.

Introduce a feature in D365 FO that allows employees to view and receive notifications for their colleagues' birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and work anniversaries that fall on the current day. This could be integrated into the Employee Self-Service portal, where employees can access a dedicated section displaying today's birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and work anniversaries. Automated notifications or reminders could be sent to employees via the system, ensuring they are aware of important dates and can extend their best wishes. This feature would foster a positive work environment, encourage employee engagement, and promote stronger connections among team members

For all employee records, it is critical to attach important documents like passports, driving licenses, etc.

The feature to attach documents for employees exists only for the following path -

HR module -> employees -> Person -> Identification Numbers.

But if we try to access the same through the Employees Self Service -> Edit Personal Details -> Identification numbers, the attachment icon does not exist.

This leads to an inconvenience as the users cannot attach files and have to rely on the HR manager or someone with the permissions to the employees form to attach all documents for every individual employee. This causes time consumption and chances of attaching wrong documents as one person might have to attach individual documents for each employee, rather than every employee doing it for themselves.

To streamline the employee development review process I propose implementing a competency dropdown that automatically pulls from a predefined list. Equal to the existing goal dropdown functionality which enable quick, consistent selection of competencies, reduce manual entry and enhance both efficiency and data accuracy across reviews. I am unable to attach screenshot of the missing feature but happy to share for visual if asked.

To Change Employee Personnel Numbers

Background:

Initially, Group Headquarters management decided to implement the HR module for over 350 employees in one division, using Batch IDs as Personnel IDs for identification and data management in D365. After two years, management has recognized the need for a change in the employee numbering system to improve consistency and integration across platforms. This change will affect all employee numbers, introducing a new number sequence for approximately 10,000 employees globally. As we prepare to integrate all applications globally, it is crucial to update the personnel numbers for existing employees in D365.

Expected Solution:

1. Provide a patch with functionality to change personnel numbers, mapping new personnel numbers against old employee numbers for those already created in D365.

Expected Impact:

1. Duplicate Records: Without a proper update mechanism, there may be duplicate records created.
2. Impact on Daily Operations: Operations may be disrupted due to having multiple records for the same employee.
3. Approval Workflow Issues: Existing workflows may be impacted, causing delays in approvals.
4. Business Continuity: Manual updates could halt operations, requiring significant downtime to correct records.

 I have problems downloading Excel file with xlsx extension protected with password. 

 The problem is due OfficeOpenXml.ExcelPackage library. 

 We are saving a report with xlsx extension, if we use "save" method without password there isn't problems, if we pass password to this method ( save(password) ) file change format and becomes a xls file. 

 When we try to open this file (with .xlsx extension) it gaves us an error "format and extension of file.xlsx file isn't equals". 

 This library is the same in c# language, but in this language it works, so it is a bug of x++ library.

 If anyone else has experienced the same issue, please let us know so it can become more of a priority and they will fix it sooner.

When employee try to apply a leave and select half day, Half day definition field is not mandatory. Because of this employee is submitting the leave without half day definition. And HR/ Manager is unable to find which half day user is on leave. In previous versions this half day definition is mandatory, and employee used to get warning message.

The idea here is to have the feature to fill the product gap documented in LCS Issue ID 878706 where Primary position toggle not updating in Postion worker assignment table in dataverse.

The workaround is to create a Power Automate flow.

It would be great to have something more enhanced to streamline implementations.

When customizing the form for creating a worker, whether an employee or contractor, it is not possible to add a field that has been created, meaning a custom field. This prevents us from making other customizations that use the custom field we would like to add to the form when creating a worker. I opened a support ticket with the TrackingID#2311160050005870, and I was asked to make this suggestion because the issue we reported in the ticket is a limitation of the system itself, not an error.
