We have a customer with 400 stores in Norway and about 3000 POS using CPOS. If we can use localhost the customer will save a lot of work.

Thanks for your feedback. By localhost, I think you're saying you want to run a dedicated hardware station on your local machine. Unfortunately, that's a capability that's not really possible when running point of sale in a browser. If you want simplified hardware and peripheral management, we recommend that you deploy Store Commerce app with dedication hardware station.

  • Hi Johnny and Holly, Testet out the following regarding this. Had an already installed Hardware station and CPOS. - In the Store-> Hardware Station setup, changed the hostname to Localhost from the name of the PC running CPOS - Reactivated the Hardwarestation from CPOS, got a warning about the certifacte as the certifacted was a self signed issued to the PC and not localhost. Gave it a OK. - Verified in Fiddler that communication was using "Localhost" Think we need a more clear definition of the issue. Is the issue due to how the certificated used to secure the communcation between CPOS and HWS is issued?
