Extend Batch Functionality to POS

We operate in a highly regulated industry and Lot Tracking is required. This is definitely an area needing some investment by Microsoft as it is not trivial from a cost and resource perspective. Customers will look to options other than D365 if they are expected to make significant investments where they would expect there to be existing D365 functionality.

We have operations with Batch Tracking. MS have to look into the same in D365.

We are pharmaceutical retailer from Pakistan. Drug regulatory authority Pakistan (DRAP) has made it compulsory for pharma retailers to capture batch number, batch expire date control and batch level pricing at POS. Whereas D365FO MPOS does not support any of the above listed functions. Earlier we were using a local POS solution which offers the above mentioned controls. From start of this year, we are using D365FO and have to relay on partners to enable this functionality for us which obviously have stability issues, cost and compromises to apply MPOS upgrades released by Microsoft. It had better if MS itself provides this demanding solution to its customer as part of standard process like the did offline inventory snapshot available using product availability feature. Hope to hear good news sooner.

+1 for this. The agriculture/animal feeding industry have requirements for strict batch tracking of medicated products sold over the counter. Currently CPOS has no functionality to deal with this.

I see that the link to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/release-plan/2024wave1/commerce/dynamics365-commerce/planned-features no longer mentions batch tracking being available in 2024 Release Wave 1. Did this get dropped?
