Suggested by Uwe Schlagmueller – Under Review
In addition to the current lead time setup and calculation, a default lead time by vendor should be added to the vendor card. In several scenarios we had one vendor supplying 50K plus different products and maintaining the lead time per product is not really feasible. This is only the default vendor lead time, any other lead time calculations can stay as they are.

Thank you for your feedback. This is a great suggestion! We will consider this in our roadmap.

I have had this requirement multiple times, mainly in distribution. A vendor would have a "quoted lead time" he guarantee us, so entering the same lead time on each product is a bit repetitive. Only few "special order" items would have a different lead time.
Lead time on the Vendor card and/or Item card would be really useful.
Vendor Items would be helpful too for where a number of items are from the same vendor but with different lead times.
The options to set a blanket vendor lead time, or a Vendor item lead time and a specific order line lead time are all needed.
It is common practise for a vendor to deliver e.g. weekly.
Another related requirement is to link orders to be delivered on same date- e.g. for imports, companies may book a container and then order to fill it to minimise landed costs.
Another quirk is that monopoly vendors may decide when they will produce a given product e.g a certain size, or grade or recipe, and you then need to book capacity to buy from that production run .- rather than a lead time then a 'next available to order date logic is needed.
An item vendor setup to set up the lead time would be great. In addition to that you could add fields like minimum/maximum/default order quantity since they often alternate from vendor to vendor and often even between items of one vendor.
also take mode of delivery into account, ship = long leadtime, plane = short
This is very much related to this:
