Virus scanning for documents upload to Notes/blob through Power portals for external users (B2B & B2C) or Internal users (B2E) is very common need. It is very cricial specifically foe B2C / B2B use cases. Not having virus scanning capability in attachments stored in CDS/D365 can be considered as a blocker to leverage CRM Portal / Power portals for external users (B2B & B2C) or Internal users ( B2E). • so key for us we are constantly coming up with complex work around to ensure this can be done. Either with Clam A.V that involves deployment isolated IaaS VM or using defender. Then reading all clear flags before allowing into our environment.
  • I have several customers looking for a solution especially for rapid deployment Power Apps Portals where they require virus scanning from a security perspective but are not ready or able to use our other options that include virus scanning.
  • Ideally for Microsoft customers there should be an out-of-the-box integration with the defender tools and azure security services.

  • This is very fundamental in nature, yet D365 does not offer this, It would be good if this can be made platform capability.

  • I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest.

How about a licensed option to use either an API with Defender as a component or a native option in Dataverse attachments? or all of the above.

  • This feature is essential for Dynamics 365 / Power Platform.
