Sandbox-Full Experience: Configuration Package is Filtered to D365 -- Cannot See "New" or "Imported" Packages
In a Sandbox Environment with the "Full" User Experience enabled, it is possible to import and create new Configuration Packages. However, it appears the page is filtered to only show the D365 Configuration Package. As a result, it is not possible to see or use anything other than D365.
The default personalisation is currently set to 1033 which is English (US) rather than English (UK) and in particular displays the date in MM/DD/YYY rather than the usual display option for the UK of DD/MM/YYY
To change the display requires going to:
Users Personalisation Card | General then click the show more, and in the Locale ID box change 1033 for 2057.
It would be really useful to have a global set up screen so this can be set as the default (or whatever is required as the default) rather than have to change each user.
Dimensions are not visible on the General Ledger Entries. Global 1 and Global 2 should be visible at a minimum. 3-8 would be very beneficial as well. Dimension Set ID would be a helpful stopgap for filtering purposes.
This request came up specifically for a client looking at the General Ledger Entries, but the request is relevant to all Ledger Entry pages.
I can see how to select multiple records, e.g. customers or vendors, but then there is no functionality available with that selection e.g.
- delete the selected records
- edit the selected records (give them all a location code)
or have I missed something?!
In the French localization, the Tax Audit export (Report 10885) currently allows to export the opening balance per G/L Account.
In the last year, 30% of our customers who have been controlled by the Administration get the file rejected.
The reason is that the controller requires accounts 512 (banks), 401 (vendors) and 411 (customers) to be detailed by tier account in the opening balance.
It would be nice to implement this enhancement in standard to fit the real requirements of the French Administration.
Currently when you go to "Currencies" and go to "Adjust Exchange Rates", you can only run the revaluation for the Currency alone. Meaning revaluation is done for all GLs at the same currency exchange rate. What should happen is allow users to run revaluation by GL because GLs can be revalued at different rates. The same exchange rate should not be applied to all GLs.
All master data / setup tables in NAV having a description field, allows description lengths of at least 30 to 50 characters. Only the 'Unit of Measure' table still doesn't follow this pattern and is still limited to only 10 characters.
Since we're not able to extend this field via an extension, can we have the description field length (and translated description) updated to 30/50 by MS?
Since the only development and deployment method currently supports is Extension Development via a Sandbox using VS Code (AL Lang), isn't it great to have Report Extension Development capability too? There's always possible to dev Extensions for Standard Tables, Pages, CUs but why not Reports? Every End-Client requires their very own methods to represent data comes into an ERP. But as ISVs, we are getting answerless when they just simply ask, "can I add our company logo to this standard report?" I mean, it's obvious, practically. Eagerly waiting for this since there's no other way rather than Re-design the entire report just to map Client's small requirements, which is limited in Word/RDLC Custom Layout designer in base Business Central.
(Simple suggestion, isn't it great to have the Core/Base Development ability like in good old days with NAV?)
