This functionality was available in older versions of Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Retail (more precisely on AX2009 and AX2012 EPOS). On the Retail Industry, there are companies with high rotation, or with the need to train really quick new cashier due to a high sales season. Training mode would allow this new recruits to get a handle on the different operations that are required to master the POS, in order to make the end customer experience more pleasant, and faster.

I struggle to understand why this functionality was not carried over. It is asked for on all commerce implementations and is a must have for most retail scenarios! It is a basic function that all competitors offer

The functionality to have the POS switch to training mode would be incredibly advantageous to ensure that our store team members obtain the quality training that they need on the system to become successful within their roles. In my opinion, we need this to be enabled.
