Problem :
- Exchange rate can't be updated on table if we have to recalculate the currency base field on form based on any historical exchange rate.
- Dev need to create program code unnecessarily to handle the historical data if opportunity is closed earlier and we have to retain the base amount on form with the same exchange rate which was there when closed the opportunity.
Idea :
In purpose of Data migration or Reopened an opportunity, we need to create a plugin to update the old exchange rate on table form but i think team can provide that feature that they can add a historical exchange rate field for historical data if someone will update the historical data on closed opportunity or any entity which are inactive state , should have _base fields calculated based on historical exchange rate provided.
This will help to solve the below purpose :
1) While doing data migration for any entity or uploading any data in CRM for closed opportunity/Inctive record with money fields, dev would have option to update the historical exchange rate for close or inactive records.
2) Customer will not have any impact on reports.
