I work for a community college and our fiscal year starts on July 1st and ends June 30th. The current system we use has the fiscal year start the record number, but even after working with the Microsoft Support team they were unable to give me a solution to have the fiscal year included in the autonumbering.

For example, it is 2024... and we are in FY24.

24QUO1000

24QUO1001

On July 1st of this year it will be FY 25.

25QUO1000

25QUO1001...etc.

This for quotes, invoices, contracts, etc.
