Currently the system allows to post item Arrival Journal for Purchase Orders thar have a approval status of "Approved". However, the next step in the physical update (Product Receipt posting) does control this status and blocks it if it is not "Confirmed".
We would find it useful, for those cases when users execute these 2 steps almosts simultaneously, that the system would validate the PO approval status at the moment of registration and control it the same way it does for Product receipt, so this reception process can be fulfilled smoothly.

Thank you very much for your input. It is in purpose to allow for the registration of goods and not having it blocked by the PO not being confirmed, approved only. if this were not allowed it would block warehouse receiving in scenarioes where no PO confirmation had been received and subsequently the PO updated accordingly. However getting your request in front of the team owning the warehouse receiving process such that the team can assess whether your request should be considered.
