Put back the ability to 'view more' and 'view less' functions at the top of an email in the timeline. This functionality was removed in the 2022 Wave 2 update. Users do not need to scroll to the bottom of a 5 page email to 'view less' when the most recent information in an email thread is at the top.

We often have lengthy conversations with our customers by mail to discuss detailed analyses or even proposed solutions. This results in long mail threads. Before the update, you could simply click anywhere in the conversation to open or close it. Now you have to click exactly on the View more/View less area. So for long conversations, you scroll many mouse meters pointlessly through the timeline until you can finally close the conversation. For hundreds of customer service users in our company, this is a big step backwards in terms of usability.

Although buttons on each side would be clearer, there is (possibly undocumented) functionality along the extreme right edge of the timeline item that offers both view more and view less from the same mouse position. This means clicking on the extreme right of the item allows quickly expanding to see more, then collapsing with another click.

The region is a little hard to see, but if you hover over the extreme right of an item in the timeline it will highlight the region and also display a "view more" tooltip.

I'd like it to go back to what it was, where you just click anywhere in the email and expands, and contracts. No need to scroll to the top or bottom to get to the View More or View Less options. This just made it more complicated for users who deal with long emails.

I would also like the button at both ends rather than one or the other.

This feature being removed has caused endless pain for my team. We would love this to be reverted.

This feature improvement of View More and View Less action links at the bottom of each activity in the timeline has not been well received by our users. No one likes having to scroll down the page endlessly until they can reach the View Less action link, only to then lose their spot in the timeline after the activity collapses.

Please design a more usable feature for expanding / collapsing timeline activities, some of which can be quite extensive in length.

on second thought, put the buttons on both ends, then the User can view more or less from either end and everyone will be happy.
