Dynamics 365 dimensions like size, color and style (RetailEcoResSize, RetailEcoResStyle, RetailEcoResColor) only contain 1 value field. So Dynamics expects you to use values that are readable/recognizable. If only numeric values are used it will be almost impossible for users to recognize which actual color, size or style is meant when item variants are displayed in, for example, order screens.

To be clear, in our situation the color, size and style are part of the article number and "random" numeric values of X characters so unrecognizable as a color, size or style. Still, that numeric value is (also) needed because searching for color "1234" is easier then searching for (color combination) crimson red, black, ocean blue.

So we would like a split in color, size and style ID and Name where both can be displayed in all screens where the current dimensions are already shown. For example the order screens. Also pop-ups or drop-downs where Sizes, Colors and Styles are displayed should be able to display both values. Example:

Btw; There are some ISV solutions that solve this issue in some of the screens (mostly order screens) but this should be fixed in the core of the application and in all screens where variants are displayed, not only in order screens.
