Job Planning Lines Planned Delivery Date can be made independent

There are 2 fields Planning Date and Planned Delivery Date in Job planning lines both behave identical to each other when only one of the field is responsible for updating start date and end date for the tasks. Why are they synchronised each other? Can Microsoft hide Planning Date field or fix this confusion in the near future?

We receive the question from our customers why these fields "Planning Date" and "Planned Delivery Date" were set the same date. These customers wanted to set a starting date in Planning Date and an ending date in Planned Delivery Date to manage Planning Lines.


If those fields are synchronized or must be set the same date, I think one field is enough.


Why are those fields separated?
