In Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys, there is no built-in feature to prevent specific fields, such as First Name, from being overwritten during contact matching on form submissions. While it is possible to match contacts based on email only, the system automatically updates all mapped fields, including First Name, even if the field already contains. This limitation makes it difficult to preserve critical contact information and avoid accidental overwrites caused by user input errors in marketing forms.
