While Business Central can print 1099's for the US Market, there is not an ability to print a 1096. For customers migrating from Dynamics GP and other Accounting packages, this form is produced out of the box. This represents a considerable gap for Payables heavy customers in the US Market, and should be evaluated for implementation in 2019.

Until this feature is supported in Business Central we used Track1099 (https://www.track1099.com/info/how-it-works) to file the new 1096 forms. The forms can be downloaded in BC but not fully functional. Get the vendor data out of BC and use the Track1099 template to upload your data, file and send the forms to IRS and vendors.

I literately pull out an old fashion type writer to complete a 1096 - in this modern era that just crazy!!

Our company recently moved from QuickBooks Enterprise to Dynamics 365. QuickBooks Enterprise has the ability to print the 1096. It is a required IRS form when filing 1099s and thus I'm quite surprised to find that Dynamics 365 does not have the ability to print it.

I have two clients that just completed their first year on Business Central SaaS and their financial controller was extremely displeased there was no way to print out the 1096 Form. I believe the exact words were "F*^# that is simply asinine"! I was very shocked when I found this was brought up with Microsoft two (2) years ago...

We just completed year 1 on Business Central and our accounting person is asking me for this. its a bummer to see it was asked for a year ago and is not available.
