There are several Availability information for components on an Assembly Order:

1. FactBox “Component – Item” showing “Item Availability”
2. Lookup on “Item Availability” from the same FactBox (“Item Availability by Event” and
3. “Availability Warning” on Assembly order lines

The calculation for (1.) was wrong and will been fixed on BC170 CU8/BC180 CU2. After this availability will show the same numbers for (1.) and (2.).

But: The calculation of “Availability Warning” (3.) is (unfortunately) based on a setup on “Company Information” (“Check Availability Period Calculation”) which normally is used for the “Order Promising” functionality.
The calculation of “Availability Warning” (3.) should be based on the “Starting Date” for the Assembly Order.

The existing calculation leads to two problems for our customers:

a) “Availability Warning” (3.) shows different and wrong numbers compared with the other Availability info on Assembly Order.

b) The “Order Promising” cannot be used because the parameter “Check Availability Period Calculation” influences “Availability Warning” for Assembly Order Components and vice versa.

This is very confusing and irritating for customers/users.
