One method of creating a quote is to start from an Opportunity. This new quote does not inherit several default values from the account. Payment Terms is a value that is set on the account. However during the creation it is not used. That is because the mapping model does not allow for mapping of vales from Grand Parent objects, only Parent Objects.
This is frustrating because the value that is set at the account level is not honored during the creation of a new account.
