Currently, automatic lead scoring within the marketing app only works for leads that are associated with a contact or account. However, when creating a new lead, for example via a form, Dynamics doesn't automatically create an account/contact. But the objective of lead scoring is nurturing and scoring leads that aren't actively on your "radar". Tools like Marketo support this way of working to actually nurture and score leads instead of contacts. Could this be supported by Dynamics 365 for Marketing as well?

Totally agree, leads should be scored without contact relationship

I find the linkage between lead and contact for the sake of lead scoring to be difficult at best to manage. Why can't lead score be kept on a lead without a related contact. Also, when you relate a contact, it appears as a stakeholder?!
