The credit memo number sequence is usually pretty long and has to be keyed in by a user to be consumed in the POS. No credit memo bar code field is available in the receipt designer to bring in this number as a scannable barcode for users. Instead they have to key in a 10+ character number manually, this can lead to consuming the wrong credit memo or errors in finding the credit memo number.

Correction to my last comment, the Credit Memo is a receipt format and can be edited with the Receipt Designer, the issue is that the "Credit Memo bar code" is not a field that can be added to the receipt footer.
The only bar code fields on the Receipt Designer are "Receipt number bar code" and "Customer order bar code"

It's disappointing that after 4 years there still hasn't been a solution provided for this.
Surely it wouldn't be too difficult to fix?
Solutions could be either:
1) Add Credit Memos to the receipt format table and allow them to be modified using the Receipt Designer
2) Modify the current Credit Memo format to print the credit memo number as a barcode on the footer

Is it possible to archive these with customization? We have some requirements and know how to add custom fields on receipt but not sure about the credit memo barcode.

Please consider adding a bar code to the credit memo receipt. Very common retail request when using the credit memo functionality.

Can this please be put on the backlog? This seems like a very common retail operation. Store employees that always have to key in this ID are prone to mistyping and thus preventing a fluent process.
