We have repeated requirements from customers always to include Item Description from Item card into the Item ledger entries. In the NAV/D365BC standard, the Item Description is only included if the description on the document line differs from the description on the card. It would be easier for users for adhoc navigation, tracing, reports, etc.

Sorry for that, but I'll vote down for this idea. Please respect the current functionality: If the Description on a Doc. Line has not been changed > it is similar like the Desc. on the Item Card. Only if the Descr. on a Doc. Line has been changed, this changed Descr. will be transferred to the Entries.

Thank you for your suggestion! However, if we do it, it will significantly decrease performance for many scenarios, mainly due to growing size of table 32 Item Ledger Entry. Did you consider this problem?
