Currently, if a collapsible list is added to a knowledge article and the collapsible list is in focus while saving and closing (with no row added after the collapsible list), there is no possibility to add a new row or any content after the collapsible list upon reopening the article (not without editing the HTML, which cannot be expected of all users).

There is a workaround: the user must always press the yellow “Insert paragraph after block” button before saving and closing. However, they would also need to press the “Insert paragraph before block” button if there is no row above the collapsible list.

My suggestion is that the yellow “Insert paragraph after block” button should always be displayed on collapsible lists, even after closing and reopening an article, to prevent situations where the article is not fully editable without using HTML.

I have also reported this as a bug, but it was explained as expected behavior. I strongly believe the current behaviour should not be considered expected.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Create a knowledge article.
  2. Press the “Collapsible list” button.
  3. Press “Save & close”.
  4. Open the article.
  5. Attempt to insert content before or after the collapsible list without editing HTML.
