The organization hierarchy view has the potential to be useful but falls short because you can only see two levels at a time and the tiles truncate the company name, and only three entities will be displayed on a line even though there is plenty of screen real estate to show all of them. When my new boss asks me for a diagram of the organizational structure, it would be so nice to simply print out an up-to-date diagram from D365FO, or you show her a screen in D365FO that would give her a birds-eye view.

We have over 300 legal entities on D365 and it is now impossible to edit the organisation hierarchies due to the interface being so poor and the workaround using data entity uploads is not user friendly as you have to add the party ID numbers. We have a hierarchy where we add the legal entity and then the business units beneath it, if we add a new legal entity we have to click over 100 times to reach that legal entity on the screen and then select it to add the BU, now we find that the display corrupts when scrolling through so it is not usable.

The two hierarchies - organization and position - have both great potensial for improved functionality. The UI in AX2012 was in fact better on the organization hierarchy with more information displayed than in D365.
Maintenance on large hierarchies is almost impossible to manage for the users.

Also use of the security purpose of organization hierarchies will not work out of the box, even though security roles can be defined to a level in the hierarchy. Here is potential for great functionality that should be available without extensive security policy programming.

Subject: Position code visible in Position Hierarchy

In D365 Operations under Human Resource you find Position Hierarchy.
The Nodes in the hierarchy shows Titles and not Positions.
Position can be shown in the Fact Box Pane and by option in the bottom of the screen, when you mark a node.
Both solutions gives a poor overview.

Our customers want the Position to be seen in the node instead of only Title.
Right now you can see, that a Position is open, but not which one?
