The sales department is allowed to open the customer card directly for reading, but they are not allowed to make any changes in the card.

When an order is placed, the sales department should be able to convert a quote for a prospective customer into an order.

This usually means creating a new customer from contacts using the “Create as customer” function and a customer template. However, this requires insert and modify permissions to the table data 18.

If you grant the direct permissions to create as a customer, they can also make changes directly in the customer card.

With customization in C/AL we could enable indirect permissions for CU to create Customer from contact.

As we no longer can change the base app we would like to have it in standard.

Please enable indirect permissions to the TD18 for the following functions in contact card:

- Create as customer and

- Link to a customer
