When using variables in the app task validation, User-Set variables must be input into the XML so that when the test is run, the value is sent to the service in the app XML.

The values that can be controlled in this way are limited (just the data field for any input field). It would be so great if the XML editor was more than just a text box with all code, rather had form to guide the user only to the data fields that can have variable replacement applied. This way the user knows exactly where the XML will accept variable replacement. The variables that are defined could then be in a drop down so the user selects the field and selects which user set variable name to use.

If full edit of the XML is required, a toggle could open up the editor to a full text version of the XML.
