I believe this should be available for most any entity that has child entities and Mail Merge capability (like and Order with Order Product; or 'for example' as Support Contract with Contract Lines). We have a custom entity to manage our support contract (current on support?, application platform, user licenses, etc.) and contract lines (i.e. supported applications - from product catalog). I liked the fact that the Quote 'Mail Merge' includes the line item details, along with the end of record marker. This is not available with standard CRM Mail Merge. Essentially, it is a unique capability with Quotes. Idea - Add capability (out of the box) of adding custom Mail Merge to entities that allow mail merge, using an XML import (such as exporting the XML from an advanced find that pulls all the data - multiple rows for a common record - i.e. from child record export). Clicking the custom mail merge button would use the xml provided, but also add the nice end of record marker. Then Word Merge functions/method could be used to build some basic form output including a catalog list of child record info. For the time being, I have to muddle through building a custom SSRS report to build the contract lines. I don't have enough expertise, so my options are limited.
