As a functional consultant, it's extremely difficult to get customers to use the Asset library for real time marketing.

The scenario: a customer wants to upload media files (PDF/DOC/Power Point Presentation files/videos). However due to the sheet amount of records it becomes apparent that organising the media library is needed (ability to group media files by folder or anything for that matter).

Yes the tag functionality works however a user can type anything in and it doesn't even present you with a list of tags that already exist. This increases the chance that poor tags will be created and make it incredibly difficult to search and find content. It also requires that new users to the organisation know the terminology to use when searching with tags.

I was going to try customise the table to allow the user to provide some more information and then try design a solution that allows the user to implement some sort of hierarchy but the table is locked, I can't customise views or add fields.
