It would be great if you could actually use the "Select more" alternative when you open the "Item reference list" from a PO line or Sales order line. In that list you only find your special customers item (not all items as in the "Select items" opportunity) and you both see your item numbers and your customers special numbers. Now you can select multiple item, but only the first item follows to your order.
