Overview

In Dynamics 365, when using the "Delegated Mailbox Approver" role, you can't flexibly control the range of mailboxes that can be approved.

With the current setup, using this role involves system administrator privileges, which means approvals can effectively be performed on all mailboxes in the environment, making it practically impossible to limit the scope.

Background and Issues

Since it involves admin privileges, we can't control it at the following levels, which is a problem:

- Business Unit level

- Team level

- Specific user level

Because of this, even if we only want certain mailboxes to require approval for business purposes, we can't avoid giving out excessive permissions.

Request Details

We would like to add a feature that enables the following scope control:

- Make it possible for the Delegated Mailbox Approver role to operate independently

- Allow control of the mailbox approval scope at the following levels:

 - Business Unit

 - Team

 - Individual user
