We use the option automatically reservation for all the items. The option reserve on the item card is set on always. When we create a sales order, Business Central automatically tries to reserve the quantity on a sales line with available stock.
We do not see this happen in a Transfer Order. When we create a Transfer Order and enter a Article Number and Quantity on the Transfer Order Line, then Business Central will not automatically reserve the Quantity. We need tot do this manually.

Reservation in Business Central is for Sales driven documents. But why is it not possible to use the option automatically reservation on Transfer Orders. The articles on a Purchase Order will be received in the main warehouse. There they will chekc the items and the quantity. Because, there are sales offices where stock is kept, Transfer Orders is created. A part of the complete Purchase Order needs to be send to the different Sales Offices. To assure, that other processes will not take the articles which are ment for the Sales Offices, the articles and quantity needs to be reserved in the Transfer Order.

We noticed that this is not done automatically, like it is in the Sales Order. We want to have this option also in the Transfer Order. So the users no longer needs to reserve them in the Transfer Order line by line.
