While reviewing the current text descriptions related to Sales Price Lists, I noticed an inconsistency between the functional behavior of the system and the field descriptions.
- On the overview page of all sales price lists, the Ending Date is described in a way that suggests the price list is valid until or including that date. This wording is ambiguous and leaves room for interpretation.
- Within an individual sales price list, the description explicitly states that the Ending Date is the last date on which the price list is valid, implying that the price list is valid through (inclusive of) that date.
However, based on the actual system behavior, the sales price list is valid up to, but not including, the Ending Date. This means the price list is no longer valid on the Ending Date itself.
As a result, the current field description does not correctly reflect how the system works and may lead to confusion or incorrect assumptions by users.
Suggestion
Although this behavior may not be easily changed, I recommend updating the field descriptions to accurately reflect the actual system logic. Clear and consistent wording would help users better understand how the Ending Date is applied and prevent potential misinterpretation.
