As Edit in Excel exports most columns and many are not needed for a regular import, add an option to save selected columns when using Design so that it has to be done only once and could be used several times.

This could be a great idea. Edit in Excel exports too many columns most people don't care about, they want to edit what they see on screen and Edit in Excel shows a totally different order and columns not needed for some journals.

It should show the same fields Open in Excel shows, if someone needs a new field, it could be added to the form/page or using Design.
