The current behaviour, where the Copilot pane expands automatically on load or refresh, is by design and cannot be controlled through out-of-the-box settings, security roles, or app profiles. This is impacting user experience as every time users refreshed or reopen the CRM Copilot control gets auto expanded.

At this time, there is no supported configuration or setting available to keep the Copilot pane permanently collapsed by default for Dynamics 365 model-driven app users.

We need an option to control the behaviour where users can permanently collapse the Copilot control or admin can control this from backend.

We have raised an support case with Microsoft for this, and customer success manager suggested to raise a product feature request.
