As per discussion with Microsoft -  importing a solution with a retention configuration into another environment, the criteria for the retention policy will not be automatically populated. One needs to manually set the criteria in the target environment.

This completely hinders the whole devops process. Manual interference in higher environments causes issues.

Please come up with a resolution as soon as possible, so that the devops process can be completed without manual interventions i.e. on importing a solution with a retention configuration into another environment, the criteria for the retention policy should be auto populated as well.
