The client conducted a benchmarking exercise between Hubspot and Customer Insights Journeys:

 

With Hubspot, delivery times average around 15 minutes, while with Customer Insights Journeys, 78% of emails are delivered within 30 minutes. Twenty-one percent take between 30 minutes and 1 hour, and 1% take over an hour.


We suggest improving the delivery times to compete against other platforms.

Email delivery time depends on a lot of factors. Some relate to customers' own environments while others could be temporary issues in our (or email gateway providers') infrastructure etc. Majority of them are transient/temporary. For this reason, a single test is usually not conclusive or actionable. We suggest you do 4-5 tests with a single step journey that sends email. The email should have minimal content (e.g., "Hellow world", no personalization, images, etc.). Do this test on different days and times while keeping everything else the same (same journey, same audience, same email, etc.).  If you find email delivery is consistently delayed then you should open a support ticket with details of the test journey and emails so team can investigate."
