Problem:

When discontinuing an item, users must manually stop it at each individual warehouse. Although a “Warehouse: All” option exists, setting Stopped = Yes at this level does not apply the change to warehouse-specific records, which is unexpected behaviour for users.

Impact:

• Increased risk of items remaining active in some warehouses
• Manual, repetitive maintenance for common business scenarios
• Inconsistent inventory control across warehouses

Proposed improvement:

When Stopped = Yes is set at Warehouse: All, automatically apply this value to all existing warehouse item records for that product.

Business value:

• Reduces user error
• Improves data consistency
• Aligns system behaviour with user expectations
• Removes the need for customisations or workarounds
