Asset Property - Allow Predefined Values (Option Sets)

Assets provide the functionality to maintain “Asset Properties (msdyn_property/msdyn_propertylog”), which allows the users to enter different Data Types (Number, String, Boolean, Data/time) for the properties.
What would be required on top would be the functionality to have a predefined list of values (OptionSet/Choice) as well.

Since this functionality already exists in D365 CE (see “Property Option Set Item” on product entity), this approach could be reused also for the asset area eventually.

Came here to post this, absolutely 100% required!So many situations this can be used.Examples / use case for the security industry.Door Type = Drop-down list of all the types that the door can be configured asAnalytics Detection Method = Drop list of the pre-defined methods we use.Camera Resolution = Drop-down lists for 2Megapixel, 4Megapixel etc..Fire Alarm Types = Drop-down list of Addressable or Conventional System etcNetwork Type = Drop-list list of IP, RS485 etc.Lock Type = Drop-down list for proximity, rim latch, magnetic lock etc.The list goes on and on of the possibilities of how this can be utilised across all field service industries.

Great Idea!
We also experience the need to be able to use Option Sets to Log Asset Properties and were surprized the functionallity exists on the Product Properties but not on the Asset Properties.
