Problem Overview:

1.     The B2B catalogues function in BC Shopify connector is designed with Shopify as the master data source – currently the connector doesn’t have the flexibility for ERP (i.e. BC) to be the master - yes there is a Boolean on shop card to auto create catalogues when creating a B2B company but that’s it and requires manual intervention after that.

a.      For example – with auto create catalogue switched ON – on the shop card – it only creates a catalogue line in B2B catalogues section for the relevant company when the company is created – after this the user has to go in to the catalogue and manually mark the sync price tick box for the prices to start synching to the catalogue. This gives very little flexibility to the user if they choose to keep BC as a master and has to do things manually.

2.     No option on Shopify Sync Catalogue prices function to run sync for a particular customer no./catalogue id.

a.      Currently I have a client who has about 250+ customers/catalogues added to shopify B2B – let’s say if they add another 5 customers/catalogues to shopify – there is no way for a user to filter to those newly created customers and synch prices for just the 5 that they created. The user have to run a full price synchronization in order for the right prices to get added to the 5 newly created catalogues.

Proposed Solution:

1.     For limitation 1/1(a) – ideal solution can be a Boolean (something similar to auto create catalogue) under B2B Company synch fast tab which will auto mark the synch prices tick box when a new catalogue is created in B2B catalogues section.

2.     For limitation 2/2(a) – it would be great if users can be given the customer no. field which they can filter on if they only want to sync catalogue prices for a particular customer OR at least the catalogue id field be given so users can filter on it to sync prices to a particulate catalogue.
