Since upgrading to BC 28.0, sending documents by email via SMTP fails when the report's Word layout, used as the email body, contains an embedded image (e.g. a company logo). The same layouts worked fine in 27.x.

Error message:

The email could not be sent due to the following error: "The email could not be sent. A call to MailKit.Net.Smtp.SmtpClient.Send failed with the following message: Cannot access a disposed object. Object name: 'MimePart'. Status code: "

To reproduce:

• SMTP email account configured (SMTP Connector extension)
• Word layout with an embedded image set as the email body for a document report
• Use Send by Email on any posted document → error

Workaround:

Removing the image from the Word layout resolves it, but this is not acceptable for customers with branded email layouts.

Confirmed on multiple tenants.
