LinkedIn Sales Navigator's prerequisites for Data Validation eligibility often to not fit within ownership configuration in Dynamics. Requesting to unblock this common use case. LinkedIn Sales Navigators assigns ownership to users based on the following criteria:
- All CRM Accounts associated with user's owned Open Opportunities
- All CRM Accounts owned by user
- All CRM Accounts with user on the Account Team
However, some Microsoft Dynamics customers have different or more complex ownership rules, such as:
- Shared ownership among multiple users or teams
- Ownership based on territory, industry, or other criteria
- Ownership that changes over time or based on events
- Ownership that is not reflected in the CRM fields or records
Requesting Microsoft to allow for a toggle in Data Validation settings that allows for Contacts that "are owned by service account users" = "name that user". This would enable customers to filter and segment the accounts based on the service account user, and show the relevant lists to the users based on their accounts. This would also help avoid duplication, confusion, and conflict among users who may have different ownership claims or views of the same accounts.
