You cannot have 2 ore more tasks overlapping on the specify pattern while editing. This then requires you to use a workaround of having to move the tasks time to not overlap and then be able to specify the tasks without getting the overlap error.

While editing it should allow you to overlap the tasks and give you an error while trying to save.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a project. Go to Schedule tab and add two tasks with the same start/end date. You can have different amount of effort. Assign the same Resource

2. On the Team tab, generate requirements for the generic resource. Then highlight line and click Specify Pattern

3. Specify pattern screen opens with the two tasks assigned to the resource role

4. Try to edit one of the tasks start/end time so that you can have 1 task in the morning and the other task in the afternoon on the same day
EXPECTED RESULTS
• I can select 1 task and assign time in the morning and 2nd task in the afternoon on the same day
ACTUAL RESULTS
• I get an error “requirement details cannot overlap” when trying to edit the start/end time of a task
