If we have 2 planned orders or 2 production orders for item A (qty =1000) and item B (qty=1000).
A is a component for B.
In the Planning, MRP will set the beginning of the production of B once the production of A is totally finished.
The requirement is to overlap both productions : we would like to be able to start the production of B once 10% of A is finished.

In standard, this is possible using 2 operations within the same production order (in the same route). But this is not possible between 2 production orders.

This is long overdue functionality. The ability to have a build offset of either days or quantity or percentage of order is needed by most companies in a more agile world.

This is one of major complaints I receive from production planners or when trying to calculate CTP. One option is to flatten the BOM and use the route operation overlap function. However, this does not provide inventory visibility or labels for each operation in the route. Major turn off for production planners and sales representatives.

This would help customers with a manufacturing site that have the need for this functionality.

As we can see by the vote numbers and comments, having this functionality would provide a positive impact to the customers of D365.

An often requested piece of functionality and would be a good addition to D365. The work around is to have many production orders with smaller quantities but that is very cumbersome and creates more confusion on the shop floor for some customers.
