Up to version CRM2011 you could select copy link which would put the url into the clipboard. Now you have to select send email , and c&p the link from there.

Agree with all of the above. We used this feature all the time in CRM 2011. When we moved to 365 online, I was shocked to learn they had removed it from the action ribbon. Makes no sense. BRING BACK THE COPY LINK FUNCTION PLEASE!

I was about to post an idea about a better way to send a direct link to a record and saw this, we started on CRM2016 so didn't know anything about the 'Copy Link' feature. Surprised that it was removed but sounds a lot simpler than the 'Email A Link' feature which is annoying as you then have to copy the link from the email to then embed as hyperlink into your own email.
