Possibility to enable the modification of product bundles within a sales order. The proposed change aims to provide users with the flexibility to adjust the number of items on the order lines included in a product bundle after it has been added to a sales order. Additionally, it should allow users to specify whether changes in the number of items should impact the price or not (not critical, since price can be adjusted separately if increases cost is needed to reflect in price)

Overview of the Proposed Change:

The requested modification involves enhancing the functionality of Dynamics 365 Sales to support dynamic changes to product bundles within a sales order. Currently, once a product bundle is added to a sales order, the number of items within the bundle cannot be adjusted. With this change, users will be able to modify the quantity of items included in the bundle as per their requirements. If a bundle is flexible could be configured on the bundle. 

Justification:

The need for this change arises from the following factors:

• Flexibility: Allowing users to modify the number of items in a product bundle after it has been added to a sales order increases the flexibility and adaptability of the system. It caters to the diverse needs of customers who may require different quantities of bundled items. E.g companies which are more production/installation driven can effectively use platform for pricing and material BOM since increased flexibility gives optionality to use standard BOM as basis to work more efficiently and accurately.
• Customer Satisfaction: By enabling users to customize the product bundles, we enhance the customer experience. Clients can easily tailor the bundles to meet their specific needs, resulting in higher customer satisfaction and potentially increased sales.
• Pricing Considerations: Providing the option to specify whether changes in the number of items affect the price ensures accurate pricing calculations. This feature caters to scenarios where customers may be eligible for discounts based on the bundled quantity or instances where the pricing remains fixed regardless of the quantity.

Scope of the Change:

The proposed change will specifically impact the functionality related to adding and modifying product bundles within the sales order module of Dynamics 365 Sales.
