In Engineer to Order companies, Jobs are used for R&D phase while production is done with Manufacturing module in BC. Currently, one can use Planning Worksheet to create a Production Order based on the Job Planning Line as demand. However, It should be possible also to create a Production Work Order for a product from the Job Planning Lines in a similar way as it can be done from a Sales Order through Order planning with Creat Prod. Order action.
On Production Order related to Job Planning line, Source Type should have another option Job or Job Planning line and Source No. should then point to relevant point or a new link between job and production order should be introduced.
