■ Problem

In the classic editable grid experience, it was possible to filter lookup values in subgrids using the "Only show records where" condition.

However, with the modern Power Apps grid control, this behavior is no longer available.

Currently, when using editable subgrids in the modern designer, lookup columns only allow selecting a default view, and there is no way to apply conditional filtering based on related fields or business logic.

As a result, scenarios that were previously achievable in the classic designer cannot be reproduced in the modern experience.

■ Impact

This limitation significantly affects usability and data quality in common business scenarios.

For example:

- Restricting lookup values based on another field in the same row

- Showing only related records that match specific conditions

- Preventing users from selecting invalid or irrelevant data

Without filtering, users are exposed to broader datasets, increasing the risk of incorrect selections.

■ Recommendation

Please provide equivalent functionality in the Power Apps grid control to support conditional filtering of lookup fields in editable subgrids.

Ideally, this would include:

- Support for conditional filtering similar to "Only show records where"

- Ability to define lookup filters based on row context or related data

- A user-friendly configuration in the modern designer

■ Additional context

This feature is critical for customers transitioning from classic editable grids to the modern Power Apps grid control.

Currently, the only workaround is to redesign the form using separate lookup fields and business rules, which significantly increases complexity and maintenance effort.
