Sales item with batch number specified in sales order is the driving demand considered when MRP runs. Planned production order and planned purchase order are created based on the demand and items planned via those orders do not have information about the original batch number in sales order.

For example, if sales item with batch number #111 require intermediate products for a planned production order (batch number #222) and its components for planned purchase order (batch number #333) accordingly, those planned orders do not have any information these are derived from the original sales order item 8batch order #111。

Customer’s business requirement is to track down the sales item (batch # 111) are pegged with which planned production/purchase order by having original batch information in those planned orders. Admit there are pegging functionalities that sales order is pegged to which planned order, but the customer requires this can be done in item/batch level.
