We have a significant need to apply an overall (all items) price increase and price decrease to the unit price of an item based on the customer.

We have specific groups of customers that we need to apply a 5%, 10%, or 15% price increase to any item they order. Because BC currently only allows price decreases we were forced to create multiple Customer Price Groups. In order to accomplish this, took a copy of all our items, in Excel increased the unit price, and used a configuration package to load the updated prices into each of the the customer price groups. Unfortunately, ever time a new item is added, we need to add that same item to multiple price groups and calculate the increase for each one. Additionally, there are other groups, where we have a negotiated percentage discount (decrease) on the unit price for all items.

The Customer Price Groups works great when we dealing with specific items and specific negotiated prices, however when we want to either increase or decrease all items for a specific customer based on a specific percentage, it requires a large level of effort and ongoing maintenance.
