We always have to explain what a 'Vestiging' actually is because it is a strange name for what is actually a Warehouse ('Magazijn' in Dutch).
So can you please change the name Location into Warehouse!? We now have already Project instead of Job, so BC365 terminology becomes more logic after every new update!
These kind of 'simple' changes help a lot with adoption of the system for end users.

For the UK I think that this may be a bit late to change (as others have mentioned it may cause confusion with existing users). However, I do think “Warehouse” is a better term as I tend to hear “Location” used to means a specific area in a Warehouse (like a particluar aisle / shelf in the warehouse).

How about captioning the word to allow maximum flexibility and context. Many customers like to have a Location dimension to denote a geographical entity. Gets’s messy then to have multiple “location” fields in page inspector and personalization. Results in silly dimension names to differentiate from the pervasive Location Code field.I have always had to advise customers that Location Code should be used in conjunction with use of Items and not for establishing a geographical context.Changing to “Warehouse” emphasizes the inventory context and frees up the word Location for more general use in Business Central. That is an improvement for creating dimensions and thus better for all types of customers.Hence upvoting this to have a better GL, but would prefer the entity to be captioned in setup.

Please replace this Idea by the following which is a Translation change instead of a global change: https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/idea/?ideaid=11f26cef-4b59-ef11-b4ac-0022484d1652

A comment from "Mr. Let's fix old name/translation issues" :)For English: "Location" is the right term, no question about that. The "Location" record can represent physical, virtual, temporary, any type of location (pun, sorry) for an item you can imaging. A warehouse can be a location, but a location doesn't have to be a warehouse.Dealing with English-speaking BC/NAV users for decades, no one has ever questioned "location".This sounds like a Dutch localication/translation issue, the Dutch translation is old... very old, and the mistakes with "Job" and "Account Schedules" in English were made back in the 90ties, maybe this is the same thing?

but also think that the word 'Location' is too general.I think it is not to general. It's meaning is general! It exactly defines what it means, a general selection criteria of an location where an item could be placed.

I understand you both, but also think that the word 'Location' is too general. It does not refer to the fact that it is something to store stuff?! And I prefer to explain that a service engineers van can also be a 'Moving' Warehouse. Any change in these naming will definitely create some confusion I also agree with.In Dutch the naming might even be worse then in English BTW.

Not sure changing Location to Warehouse is a good idea. Firstly this will cause a lot of confusion for existing users and secondly a Location In BC could be an In-Transit Location, Van Stock, a sub-division of a physical warehouse, Free on Board stock, etc, so in a lot of cases a location would not actually be a physical warehouse.

I do not think that this a good idea, because a location could be the car of a service employee, an oil tank buried outside in the ground, the service bag, a workplace, or any other place you can/may define. So it should not be defined and understand as a warehouse.
